I'm pretty sure it would be all at once at 12 Pacific, so 3AM your time.

Actually, I think in my pre-order experience it was a little after Midnight Pacific, but I can't remember how much.

You had me at asl

It made me check my software updater for the newest version of iTunes, that was the only reason. Sorry for the rude comment.

About the RHCP pre-order, it looks like a lot of people are having trouble with the downloads.

I thinks it was the Ticket Master codes, not necessarily the downloads.

Meh.

Does anyone else hear Tom Petty's Last Dance in the verses of Dani California?

I don't know if this thread is gonna turn into a S.A. review in general, or a Dani California song review in particular, but here's one take. I listened to the songs today, and it reminds me in a non-favorable way of Smashing Pumpkins' "opus," Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (!). Specifically, it's a bloated, rambling, unfocused double album that should have probably been cut down to a tighter single album. It has a horrible horrible title that means nothing to nobody, and is frankly a little embarassing to even say out loud. It probably represents the dying last-gasp of an about-to-be irrelevant band about 5-10 years past prime time. It's well-produced, gonna sell a shitload, and provide some concert filler in between True Men Don't Kill Coyotes and Other Side. (Note: I'm not trying to troll here: this isn't really meant as a dig on either band, both of which I still kind of like. Actually, I think Siamese Dream ranks right up there. And the other night on SNL showed anybody paying attention how much Frusciante kills it.)

But what do I know..., Billy Corgan recently announced the reformation of the Smashing Pumpkins. Jimmy Chamberlin must've run out of heroin.
