I'm trying to set up my Mail Account and I'm home from college and I don't know how to find my ISP ADRESS for my out going server. I'm on a wireless connection so can I find out what it is? If so how do I find out my ISP Adress? Thanks

I'd answer but since your thread title was completely non-descriptive I don't know what you're talking about.

More descriptive titles please

I assume by "outgoing ISP address" you mean the SMTP server. If you're using Apple's Mail, you can find this in Mail -> Preferences… -> Accounts -> (select) -> Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). With the Server Settings… button, you can find additional information, such as whether (and what kind of) authentication may be needed.

1. Figure out who your ISP is.
2. Google for "smtp [fill in your ISP name here]"
3. You should be able to find some sort of support page from your ISP on what to enter in the boxes chucker described above.

I'm closing this thread for this reason.

Lesson learned:
Quote:
Be descriptive with the title of new threads. Do not start a thread with an ambiguous title like "Guess what..." or "Help!" and then use the text portion of the post to explain. Do not give threads misleading titles in an attempt to gain more views. Give your post a headline. This courtesy is especially appreciated in the more highly trafficked forums.
If you can use a little common sense, feel free to start a new thread the right way!

I was going to fix your thread title for you and open the thread back up, then I noticed you have three hundred posts.

You should know better by now.
