As I've read on another thread within this forum, I noted a member experiencing slight application of pressure to add the above to your spec list whilst in an Apple Store. I must admit it was a pretty good experience and the member of staff was really helpful...however I felt towards the 'close of sale' (I didn't buy just then as it happens) that Dot Mac, Pro Care and Apple Care were 'forced' into the spec.
Never bought a warranty in my life so was against the Apple Care plan (which is a hell of a lot cheaper on amazon i noted!)...Pro Care looks quite handy seeing as though I have never used a mac before (well one 12 years ago using Pro tools)...Dot Mac - I could do with setting up a website which requires as little planning as possible* - is this what it is cracked up to be? *reason being is that I'll be using the imac for video/sound production editing (Final Cut studio...and possibly either Cubase, Logic, Nuendo and Pro Tools - I've been using Cubase for years on the PC...but that's for another thread). Many thanks. soma |
