All,
I am making a work purchase and want to buy a MacBook fully loaded. However coming from a PowerBook 12in I was wondering does the MacBook (non-pro) allow for monitor spanning? I really find this a usefull feature on my PB if it doesn't I may have to step up to the bigger 15.4. Thanks for the assistance. this is a great link I just found. Seem that AAPL likes to call this EDM - Extended Desktop Mode It IS available on the MB. Pretty sweet as I didn't want the extra jump to 15.4 in MBP Thanks, Turano 13" Blackbook 2GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 20" Cinema Display |

Yep. It does spanning and mirroring (same thing on both screens). However, you'll have to have the proper adapter to go from the MacBook's mini-DVI port to the appropriate video output for your monitor (DVI or VGA). The adapters run about $19, and you can get them from the Apple store.
