Just wondering if I could strip a song from the itunes store of the securtiy things it has to convert it to another file format like mp3

1. Burn the protected track to an audio CD in iTunes.
2. Rip the CD's track back to iTunes as an MP3 (or other format of choice).

You'll lose some quality in the process, but unless you're an 'audiophile' I doubt you'd notice it too much.

You have a point, but it's moot here because, well, what audiophile would be listening to 128 kbps AAC in the first place?
