Hi,
Very recently i've been finding that upon turning my MBP on it will take aprox. 30secs - 45secs until it loads of the Apple logo and actually start loading into OS X. During the 30secs - 45secs it just displays the grey screen with nothing on it ![]() I was looking at the diagnostics section in System Profiler and its saying its doing a Power On Self Test everytime i turn on my computer ... do you think this is why its taking so long? Cheers, Steven. Find me on Twitter: @StevenMcLintock |

Go to Startup Disk and verify that your volume is selected. It will otherwise perform a search upon each bootup to find a volume that qualifies.
If that doesn't help, go through the PRAM and PMU reset steps. |

Cheers Chucker
, you were right about the startup disk ![]() I recently uninstalled my BootCamp setup so reselecting the Mac OS X Disk as the startup disk worked perfectly. Thanks mate. Find me on Twitter: @StevenMcLintock |
