Let me know what you think of it. Tell me about the songs on the site too, how you think they sound and if you like this band. Any design or layout suggestions would be good too.

Well it doesn't look right in Safari.

I really like the way the site looks, and I love the light when you mouse over and the soft hue changed on the actual buttons like it's reflecting off...nice touch.

I have recently learned that you can use CSS to do rollovers instead of javascript, which is much nicer because you would only have to load one image instead of all the images for each button.

Example

My code might be sloppy, you could probably optimize it.

Looks pretty good.

Of course, I much prefer the site that *I* did for my favorite band: http://RadsFans.net, which I spent about 8 total hours working on last summer.

More content. More history. Better music. Better band.

Of course, I can't claim to be objective on those last two points, as I wouldn't let Roger Clyne even tune The Radiators' guitars...

Not a bad start. The "black licorice" color theme needs to go IMO (mostly the pinkish/purplish header text), and you need to pull those corner handle thingies in (don't think you intend for them to be floating off in space basically).

OK, here's some genuine feedback.

Since you're not using frames, and you don't have headers for page titles, your nav buttons should have a different state (appearance) when you are on the page the button represents.

Without one of those, your site is tough to navigate.

Helpful comments, thanks all.

I'll try to do some things with this.

Here's another idea:

Register a domain for your page at http://www.mydomain.com and use the free URL Forwarding feature, for forward it to your hompage.mac.com URL.

I prefer register.com. Less hassels and you can manage EVERY aspect of your domain/s online.

once you've registered a domain, you activate URL Forwarding (using the Stealth Forwarding option) for that domain, and for the target URL, you enter:
http://homepage.mac.com/rcpm/Roger%20Clyne's%20Life%20&%20Times/index.html

it's pretty easy once you're actually doing it.

That 'Accept and Display' option, while totally ghetto, is pretty cool. I don't think I have that option with godaddy, and I do have one decommissioned but still sort of useful site where I use masking, as shitty as it is. I need to transfer that domain anyway (that one isn't at godaddy yet), and maybe I'll send it over to mydomains instead.
