I got my new iMac this week and its been fantastic, transfered all my data via firewire and its just like using my old iMac but bigger
![]() Only problem is that my external LaCie HD keeps spinning up every 15 minutes or so, its not had the auto/on/off switch moved since it was plugged into this computer from my old one and I don't have time machine switched on but for some reason the computer keeps accessing it, any ideas why and how I can stop it? ![]() I'm using 10.5.2 |

Not really, OSX seems to do this every 15 minutes or so, just to check if the disk is still there. I wondered the same thing for a while with my drive, but this is not a new happening in 10.5.
