Hello all. I bought an iPod Touch to use at my university, but I am having trouble accessing the school wireless network. It uses a proxy with a PAC file, and I was assured before I bought the iPod that it is possible to use the Touch on a network like this.
Here's the address of my school's wireless setup page just so you can see what we have: http://wireless.massey.ac.nz/ The iPod can see the network (MUStudents). When I try to set up, I use DHCP with the proxy set up as "Automatic." I have tried using the manual set up as well. The iPod says it has connected, but when I go to use Safari nothing ever works. It just says that the server cannot be found. Any advice? |

Bye Mulaaffesia, thanks for playing.....
cutman, I have no experience with PAC files, but I found this when googling... http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=667276 I wonder if you can use those values (in your colleges PAC file) to set your connection up manually? This is quite handy too.. http://ezinearticles.com/?Whats-in-a...le?&id=2141985 'Remember, measure life by the moments that take your breath away, not by how many breaths you take' Extreme Sports Cafe | ESC's blog | scratt's blog | @thescratt |
