i just heard that due to an issue with coke cola (it wasnt my fault) my macbook is totally wrecked (it still works while im writing this but the guys at the apple store said it could be dead in a jear or it could be dead tomorrow)
anyway's i was curious if it is possible to get replacement parts of the entire macbook or should i just buy a new one my macbook is from beginning 2008 2.0 GHZ 1GB memory 80GB Hard disk 13'' screen (im actually looking for the entire hub of usb, firewire etc if it is not directly on the motherboard) Hope someone can help me P.S. i already checked ifixit.com |

The external ports are attached to the logic/motherboard.

If you already checked ifixit, then you know how much your new logic board would cost. If you're comfortable footing $700 then go for it, but I would just wait until it breaks. Sell it on ebay for scrap, then buy a refurbished unibody macbook, unless you need firewire.

will the ''scrap sell'' deliver much money (i mean around 500 to 700 bucks) or will it be lower

No, lower. I think you're looking at around $200 if you're lucky and depending on what breaks. It varies though, if you have an ebay account try searching "completed listings."

Yes it is really bad.
you know this bubbles in coca-cola..? this is what destroyes your macbook (slowly) so go as quickly as you can to the mac store and tell the what happened if your lucky they will be able to fix it if not (and it still works) you just have to wait till it dies |
