![]() It's my one and only foot I have into the "gaming" world. I love it. I've made it through all the levels (three stars) on the original, Seasons (2011 and 2012) and Rio. I'm about 1/3 into the new Space-themed release. Once I get through it, I don't know what I'm going to do. Ha! The physics are so fun and addictive. Once you kinda learn how things fall and react, and their "weight" and how they affect other objects, it's hard to resist. This most recent one, Space, you've got the pull of gravity added to the mix. And things "floating" in space, bouncing off each other. You can do a lot of damage with just one well-aimed/timed shot! FWIW, I don't play the iOS versions. I've had a few of the free/demo versions on my iPhone at various times, but I like to play in "zoomed out" mode and things just get too small. So I've got all four on my iMac from the Mac App Store. I know I'm late to the party (this stuff has been out for, what, 18+ months now). But I'm making up for lost time! Any tips, tricks, stories or insights you'd like to share, this is the thread. ![]() *chirp chirp* PS - Do you have a favorite bird? Mine is the yellow "speed" one. My least favorite is that goofy green "boomerang" bird. |

I think, if you're not playing it on iOS (via touch) you're missing out! The iPad is a truly great Angry Birds experience. The "Seasons" version is great value, too, they just keep upgrading it.

On levels that force you to use the stupid white bird, I'll fire them at walls or other vertical (breakable) obstacles, wait until just before impact, then drop the bomb. If you time it right, the bomb will damage the blocks, allowing the now jet-propelled bird to smash through what's left.

Yep. That white egg dropper, used right, can do some damage to walls and tall structures.

This Space one is really a hoot. Some new birds (an ice one, where you hit an object and it freezes/becomes ice). Then you can follow it up with that little bird that splits into three and really smash and crumble some stuff. And using the gravitational pull of the planet/moon is interesting...you can get some movement/destruction happening and the downward pull helps and adds to it. And you can slingshot yourself around a moon and come upon the target from the other direction, which opens up some possibilities. |
