Crazy kids I wish I knew how to play the piano...

anyone here want to demonstrate their piano playing skills for us?

there are a ton of good tunes on that page...

wasn't there a band that did old video game theme covers?

I have a version of the mario theme... it's really good.

If someone would like to host it, I'll be glad to share it with you guys.

my iDisk's public folder ( http://www.mac.com/1/idisknewfeatures.html ) is open to the public, host it there and post the link... (usually http://homepage.mac.com/psantora/.Public/NAMEOFFILE.EXTENSION remember, caps count with HTTP)

audio? video?

I was JUST playing the Super mario Theme on guitar, I just put the guitar down a second ago. I've been arranging the theme to be played as kind of a jazzy swing feel, it's neat.

Just watched the video: that's neat, I met a kid, he could play pretty much EVERY popular video game song on piano. it was crazy, and he played them really well. I remember asking him to play all these obscure themes from different mario games and zelda and he nailed them all.

edit: I haven't recorded any mario music yet, but I did record this Theme from Final fantasy 6 mostly all bass, with some MIDI instruments.

ummm is there webdav support in linux?

how big is it? maybe you should just email it to me (under 5 megs?)

@mac.com would probably be your best bet...

Ok I have a program that can access your idisk, it's very command-line-ftp like.
So, what is your iDisk's address?

The Advantage have a bunch of mp3s on their website. I think they're just crummy 128k files but it's better than a kick in the head with a frozen muck-luck.

Their site is worth of visit. It is truly awful.

Alright, I just watched the Castlevania video and can now say with confidence that this is one the coolest bands I've come across in a while. The freaking rocked!

I've got the live concert that I believe was put on by the Japanese National Symphony in which they did the soundtrack to Super Smash Bros: Melee.

Nothing like hearing the Star Fox theme played by conservatory trained musicians.

Wasn't there a Wired article a while back about these dueling Nintendo cover bands? I'll look into it.

ZO that medley was cool, you don't happen to have the ID3 Tag information for it do you? Who is playing it/arranged it?

what word?

are you referring to the final fantasy 6 world remix?

that's the extended version, like 5 minutes long instead of 2.

I also recorded a version of the phantom forest from final fantasy 6
