My friend at school is a PC user. So he told me today that he won a powerbook G4. Since he hates Macs, instead of selling it on ebay he opened that thing up. He removed the G4 processor and the HD. Then he put the G4 processor on ebay, and took a hammer and smashed the HD to bits. Then he let his gerbil crap on the G4 processor. I offered to take the processor off his hands but, he told me that it was already sold to a windows group. They were going to send him a tape destroying the G4 processor( personally that is the most fake part of the whole story). The worst part is that he took another HD and installed it into the Powerbook and bought an Athlon 64. He installed the processor in the powerbook 64( since it has the Athlon 64) and installed Windows XP. He should of just sold it and used the money to buy a crappy dell.

I agree that it is impossible to put in a Athlon 64. He is most likely pulling my legs. The heat would kill the powerbook. He said he put in 9 fans to cool it. One, the battery is now worth less, two most likely there is no room in the 12 inch powerbook. So most likely pulling my legs. I will have to go over to his house and check it out.

I'm pretty sure he's having a joke at your expense btw, chances are he read the article about the kid destroying a g5 and putting PC parts in it, he likely read how mental that made mac users, even after the kid said it was a hoax. Why would he say "I put nine fans in" if not to poke fun at the g5 having nine fans?

No no,
This is not a sad day for Appleinsider.org. Not at all. It is a sad day for Quag. . . err. . . Undertaker. He is the one who was fooled. Not us, we called it right away. Worse yet, Quag then tried to play it off on us, as if he knew it was a hoax from the start. I mean, common we are not daft here Quag. . . you did start the thread in confidence based on what your "friend" was telling you. ![]() no sig, how's that for being a rebel! ![]() EDIT: you can now lock it since these people are so smart. I thought you people needed some tension relief so I gave you a big opening to bash on me. I serious do think we need a trc again here. Even if I don't find it. giggity Last edited by Quagmire : 2004-06-10 at 22:05. |
