Here are my folding machines for Team AppleNova!
(sure they're PC's, but I also have my dual 2.5 G5 and a dual 2.0 G4 folding too).

It's been over 11 months and my setup hasn't change a bit.

Reason: My interest has swung from computer stuff to astronomy stuff. In the last 11 months I have swapped over 10 telescopes. Can you believe that??

Mac Pro 2x2.66, 5GB RAM, dual super drive, 23" Cinema Display
MacBook Pro 1.83GHz, 2GB RAM (from work)
MacBook 1.83GHz, 2GB RAM

I'm currently homeless.... (It's not that sad, most of the year I live on a ship.) So the picture below is my temporary work area.

And the Dell isn't mine...I'm just stealing the internet connection from it...

Items of interest (L to R):
1g shuffle, v710, Ti89, USB adapter for calc, iMac G5, iSight case, BT keyboard/mouse, 4 rechargeable (empty) AAA energizers, high school ring, headphones with blue smartwrap, Ti 667 DVI, 2 firewire HDs, iMac Rev D optical drive (strawberry if you must know), Targus USB optical mouse, 2D Cell Mag-Lite. Taken with an iSight (not that I can use it here with my slow cell speeds).

This is a "temp" setup for the near future while I'm spending some time at an abbey...

125/71645 (top .1745%)-Amie Street - awesome (mostly free) independent DRM-free music

Because there is a remote chance, I wanna ask if there is a separate screen for the PS2 or is it somehow wired into the eMac? Post wider photos!

(I ran my PS2 through a 19" CRT for a small while before ditching the poor quality VGA adapter. And now I'm thinking Dell 2405fpw and component input... always interested in seeing unusual console setups)

Stacy, nice mod! Blue lightbulb paint? Does the apple just pop off or do you have to detach other components to do that?

Of all Apple computers I like the small iBook's looks best, really. I am surprised people don't mod them more - not that they need modding, but they are so neutral that many kind of alterations would work.

I will post mine soon... gotta wait for a few things to fall into place first. I ordered a 17" LCD which is currently on its way to my place. Also, I want to pick up one of these.

It is very, very easy to pop the lid off of the LCD on an iBook. You can do it with the machine on so you can test the mod. I basically put a blue colored gel over the light (after cutting away the diffuser that is already on there). I couldn't find a legit gel, so I made mine with inkjet transparency paper. I've changed the color a few times, and realized it needs to be darker than you think. I just wish the case was like the old G3 cases, where you could strip the paint and paint the inside.

EDIT: New pics:

Circuit City has them. I got mine with my first iBook years ago at a Apple retailer (not a real Apple store mind you...)
I mainly have it for the airflow, but it also puts it at a good angle for typing.

Nice to see you made it here stacy.
Did you check your PM's over at "the other place"?
I sent you a message, but you probably don't need it now since you're here.

Nice pics. I especially like the blue Apple logo. I might have to try that on my iBook.

What color is the Apple in that iBook Mod? It looks like a nice blue I like. Not too bright blue. What did you use? That looks like one Mod I can actually do.

I have no idea. I made a template in Photoshop of a bunch of blue tiles, and ended up using the darkest one I made.

I'll post pics soon of just how easy it is to take apart the lid of an iBook.

You've got to wrap the entire path with the IMG tags. ie: [I M G]http://www.holbox.com/SCF0003.JPG[/I M G] (without the spaces in the IMG tags, of course).

I mix and edit audio for film and DVD at a motion picture studio here in L.A.
Pro Tools is my baby.
I play around with Final Cut, After Effects and Motion when I have time at home.

I can't believe I get paid to do what I do. It's incredibly fun and I'm equally fortunate to have a great job that I love waking up for every morning.

The iBook back looks easy to get off, but what tool do I need? In other words, what size Torq do I have to find? I'd LOVE to do this ASAP. It looks so cool. (I also have the older iBook with the removable paint. So I'd love to do a paint job eventually.)
