Even though its a bitter sweet feeling, nothing beats the feeling after you have handed in your last paper or your last lab report. Even though I do have one final (jazz history... can still graduate without taking the final) I have absolutely no work load. The celebration begins until next year when i start grad school.

I am going to miss my four years in college, best years of my life.... so far.

Congrats! That's a great feeling I'd imagine. I get it twice within the next few months when I graduate from college and from paramedic school.

I can't wait

But enough about me. Congrats to you and best of luck in grad school.

Come waste your time with me

I saw the thread title and thought "oh halle-bloody-lujah kickaha. 'Bout time". Then I looked across at the name.

Of course, I should have known better.

I remember my last final of senior year. It was in History of the English Language, the worst class I have ever taken in my life. God, how I hated that class. It took every remaining shred of discipline I had to force myself to study for that exam. When I finally finished, I went screaming in joy through the halls of my sorority house. I had been *such* a conscientious student all those years. What a weight lifting from my shoulders.

I remember swearing that I would translate one paragraph of Russian (my minor) a day on into the future so I wouldn't lose my facility with the language. Ha! Did I do that even *once*? What do you think?

Congratulations, Fightclub!

lol, I went through a screaming fit of sorts at my high school graduation... ran out into my parking lot and screamed "FREEDOM!!!" (Braveheart-style)... you can say the ol' principal didn't like it... and you can say I didn't give a damn.

Now why couldn't that principal have a sense of humor about it? Surely *anyone* can understand a student's joy at graduating. I mean, it's not like you were blowing up the school, or anything. Geez.

At one school I know about, on 8th grade graduation night, the male teachers would sit in the faculty lounge with the door open playing poker all night so the new graduates wouldn't be tempted to come trash the school in some way.

I attended my last English class today. Gotta love the Post-Secondary Option. I'm a senior in High School, but I'm done with 300 level English classes at Bowling Green State U., and have finished everything required for my two majors. No more English YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My middle school tried something like that. A faculty dance. We still took their golf cart and drove it around the campus for ten minutes. It had been a dream of ours for that past three years.

Now I'm set to end my freshman year in high school in five weeks. I can't wait for sophomore year, when they let us start taking honors classes. French 2 Honors, Honors Music and Literature 2 Honors. Plus, we're allowed to go off campus.

Shit. This reminded me that I have to put on my regalia next Saturday and sit through another commencement. Don't get me wrong; I love to see all the students graduating, and we do a cool thing where we can stand over on the side and greet our "own" undergrads as they come off the platform and shake hands/hug.

But that regalia is hot.

Congrats on your graduation, though!

I'm in a weird place right now. Finished all my High School classes (God, the IB Diploma's been a bitch), but I have a month of exams before I'm truly finished.

Good luck. I found those IB exams kind of relaxing actually, back in high school. You spend lots of time preparing, but after all that - you know the material (or hopefully you do). Heck, the last 3 weeks of high school I'd show up for half the day to take a test (if I had a test that day), then go out with friends to chill afterwards.

Thank you for all your responses and congratulations to all of you who are graduating this year as well. I just woke up right now and have the worst hangover of my life. Somehow I thought it was a good idea last night to mix everclear with beer. Ive never been this drunk before and for that long. We started drinking around 2pm. Ahh my last days of 'binge' drinking.

It was an emotional night last night. All of us were making promises to stay in touch and visit each other frequently, but that almost never happens... but its the thought that counts right?

Yeah, likely the next time you'll see a lot of those folks will be the reunion.

But man, my 10yr was like we were all still 18. It was fantastic.

And *why* is everybody always hatin' on me?

My other brain is hung like a horse too.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about any of them, except Psychology, and I'll be fine with just a 5 in it. I'm aiming for 40 points total (of 45).

Congrats to everybody graduating!

I'm finishing off my junior year in highschool, and next week is the last for the class I take at Cornell. Since Cornell is bringing Snoop Dogg and the Game friday afternoon of the last day of classes, I told my parents straight up I wasn't going to highschool classes that day. As much as I loved the course at Cornell, social psychology, I'm damn glad to have 10 hours more free time a week on my hands from its termination.

As for graduation, I don't know if I'll go to my highschool graduation, I'll only have been there for 2 and a half years, and I don't really feel any pride or connection to the school . . . but enjoy all the college graduating!

Yeah. 40 is an excellent overall score. I don't think I scored quite that high, I think I got 38 or 39.

You're 10 times smarter than I'll ever be. I could never go for a Ph.D.
