Yes that's right, a hyper-sleep module. Basically it's a fancy sleep chamber that once you're inside, allows you to jump into rem sleep for about 6 hours and when you come out, actual time elapsed is only about 30 minutes. This way you catch up on all the sleep you continually miss every day, but don't get even further behind because nothing got done for 6 hours.
If anyone knows where I can find such a module I will be eternally grateful and probably buy you a six pack of Molson too (unless Kick finds it, then I'll buy him a six pack of Miller High Life since the average American beer is such high quality stuff )."The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it." - George Bernard Shaw |

Sadly, there are no legitimate modules on eBay and my wormhole to the Enterprise is not working lately. Nope, I need a terrestrial-based module. Nothing else will do.

Well, I've heard stranger things turn out to be true, like real-life suspended animation.

I was on a cruise this spring break and they had this thing in the workout facility that supposedly, in 30 minutes, made you feel like you had slept for five or six hours. I didn't try it, (they charged $40) but I swear they had one. It was kind of pod-shaped. I figured it was a bunch of bull, but who knows...

I think that's the first time I ever caught Brad off guard. Maybe I'm not the only sleep-deprived bastard around here after all. Perhaps even Brad could benefit from the powerful and righteous hyper-sleep module. If they ever make this device, I'll buy it.
And overclock it. :smokey: |

Surely you really want a Hyperbolic Chamber. Apparently, they're better.

Beanie-Bart: what's the sleep agent in Tylenol PM? I mean, why not just cut out the middle-man?
Even so, it's not that I can't get to sleep. It's that I can't get enough hours in the day. I need the powers of the module to get me my 6 or 7 hours sleep, while only being in there for 30 minutes. Sort of like stasis sleep (or whatever it was) in 2001 or Alien, except that it's on a much shorter time scale. The search continues.... Well, I'm sure my body doesn't feel this way, but it hasn't caught up with me yet.
I only had about an hour of real sleep last night, and I *feel* like I got a full nights sleep. Of course, it's going to catch up with me later today, but until then, I can feel like a futuristic champion. |
