Gazpacho, specifically "Missa Atropos", but I've been listening a lot to "Tick Tock" as well.

I wonder if the have ever been to Spain, because Gazpacho is a traditional kind of tomato juice with garlic, oil, vinager, cucumber, etc.

They probably just liked the name or thought it sounded artsy enough. They're Norwegian, so maybe it's... I have no idea.

Close, it's actually a tomato based vegetable soup, served cold, popular in the summer.

Skillet - Monster

Really liking this album. Different than most I've heard of this caliber.

Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John. Belle and Sebastian. From Write about Love.

I just downloaded this album from emusic and I was only half listening when I thought that my iTunes switched to a previously unheard Norah Jones track. Nope. She's singing with Belle and Sebastian. Very cool. I've always loved her voice if not always her music.

If You Can't Stand The Heat, Get Out The Kitchen

An interesting bit of foreshadowing by The Radiators.

Sunrise, by Norman Whitfield.

I heard this on a Parisian radio station that plays all kinds of off-the-wall stuff. I wouldn't mind buying it, mostly to get better sound quality, but I haven't been able to find it yet. It's not on the iTunes Store and it's not on Amazon except as a track on this expensive US-only version of Car Wash (and notice it can't be purchased alone there: "Album Only").

Still can't find Sunrise by Norman Whitfield, linked to in my post above. Any ideas where I could buy this track, even as part of an album? The true music geeks here must be able to find this one for me! I don't know where to look.

The full track is about eleven minutes long, and I'd really like to hear it.

Are you sure that Norman Whitfield is the artist? I found an album he produced with a song called Sunrise that's 11 minutes long. By an artist named Rose Royce. Could that be it?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's it, thanks torifile. The problem is: "Please note that AmazonMP3.com is currently only available to US customers." This kind of thing should really be on iTunes.

Characteristically late, I've just bought the baroque pop album The Duckworth Lewis Method, by the Irish band of the same name. Yes, it's an entire album about cricket. A rather good one too.

Currently listening to my most recent purchase - The National's High Violet. It was high on several best of lists so I thought I'd give it a try.
