This is all about this site here, that was mentioned in the QuickTime newsletter today.

I have QuickTime 7 pro, and I'm able to save the QuickTime 7 video, but the QuickTime 6 stuff doesn't save when I choose "Save as QuickTime movie". What do I have to do here?

EDIT: Just in case someone mentions it, I already did a search for the terms: QuickTime 6 saving. Didn't find anything but someone saying that Brad might've given the answer somewhere. When Brad responded in the thread I was perusing, he said that there was no way to save a streaming video except through VLC, and that would produce errors depending upon the fidelity of your connection. If someone can explain why I'm able to save the QT7 video and not the QT6 one, it would be greatly appreciated.

The difference is simply that whoever made that site decided to make the QT7 file a regular, flat file but made the QT6 file a streaming file. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. It seems needlessly inconsistent, but some web developers are just careless like that.

Since it is streaming content, there's no easy way for you to save it all locally, as you have seen me say elsewhere.

Also, FYI: QT6 doesn't inherently mean streaming. It's just that this particular file is being streamed and it happens to be QT6.
