I've had Virgin Mobile for the last couple years. It was a competitive service at the time I bought it, but recently has been one-upped by Cingular and Net-10.
I thought Net-10 looked like a good deal, so I bought one for me (Nokia 1100) and one for my dad (Motorola flip) yesterday. So far, it's worked fine. Anybody else have a pre-paid phone? You ask me for a hamburger. |

Haha, I just realized that this phone has something that kicks the ass of all your new-fangled flipping fancy phones... monophonic ringtones with a composer.
Yes, that's right... instead of dropping $5 to download highly-compressed clips of shitty rap songs, I get to write my own ringtones on the phone itself! So far I've keyed in the intro to Green Grass and High Tides by The Outlaws and Freewill by Rush.Any more ideas? Preferably classic rock. ![]() You ask me for a hamburger. |

But good song nonetheless. ![]() |

On second thoughts. Don't. I was joking!
I don't care how proficient you get at that thing. You ain't never gonna do that soung justice!! Stick with some 50c or Craig David!! I can imagine that the little bastards have been shrunk to the size of midgets and stuck inside little phones. Probably won't be able to hear the difference between an actual CD and the phone.... And I can dream of the suffocating in there... Can we fit a few other boy bands in the phones too...'Remember, measure life by the moments that take your breath away, not by how many breaths you take' Extreme Sports Cafe | ESC's blog | scratt's blog | @thescratt Last edited by scratt : 2005-08-28 at 11:40. |

I've got a Power Mac Dual G5 & other toys, but when it comes to phones, I'm cheap as hell. I can't believe the monthly phone bills that some folks think is normal.
We've been using phone cards bought at Sams Club for all our long distance calls for years and we seldom even use them. Well, anyway, last year I had a little health problem and since we travel quite a bit we decided we needed a cell phone and wanted to use it nation wide. $49.99 + taxes & fees for 300 minutes plus unlimited weekend calls. That bill has been driving me nuts for a year now. Of all the money we waste that sucker bugs me most. So I called to cancel the fool thing! When I hung up I now have the same phone - same number - 150 minutes a month - $19 a month + taxes & fees. Almost $400 a year less ........ Live & learn! ![]() |
