Yeah. Someone needs to slap those kids that make monstrosities on MySpace. That page is a mess. O.M.F.G.

HTML validation results? Failed validation, 573 errors

CSS validation results? Hundreds more errors. (There's not an overall counter for the CSS vaidator)

It isn't just the users, the software powering Myspace produces some of worst code I've ever seen. I have a profile there, just to get people to stop bugging me about not having a profile, and I didn't do anything to the code other than a small table. Small JPEG images and text, and it still causes Safari to crash.

Personally, I think the site has a good concept, but the execution sucks. Add a few hundred horrible bands, thousands of kids who can't code, and Flash movies all over the place, and you get Myspace.

I agree with what you are saying....but still, I can load the page on my mom's pc and on my buddies powerbook...so is it my computer or what....it's starting to piss me off.

Its embarssing when a $500 pc can run it and my dual G5 locks up, regardless if it's hardware or software...

The problem is not with your computer, it's with that page. The code was built for IE, and that is likely all it was tested with. Safari is choking because it was built to render standards-compliant HTML.

Trash this file. Quit your browser and try again.

Nothing at all? Check again. I'm not referring to the Library folder in your home folder but the one at the top level of the drive.

Possibly, yes. And now you know who to blame for your terrible experience:

Microsoft

Just keep in mind, though, that now you cannot view embedded Windows Media content in your web browser. You can still download them and play them in the standalone Windows Media Player application, though.

Heres the new problem...when I am browsing on Myspace, windows media player is automatically downloading things and finishing them before I can stop them and playing them in a seperate window...not to mentionit is leaving files all over the desktop!

Stay away from myspace. It'll make you a better person.
