I was looking for a good digital camera to buy for my first digital. I'm looking to spend about 150-200 dollars on it and for it to just be a good all-purpose camera. Any recommendations?

Fuji F10 (or F11 if you live in Europe) is an excellent all-around camera. But really, there are lots of great cameras out right now. Maybe you should go to the dpreview forums and read some of the different forums - these questions have been asked 1,000,000 times!

I recently bought a Canon PowerShot A520 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007MVHZS/104-3739564-7043934?v=glance&n=502394&n=507846&s=photo&v=glance) from Amazon because that was the cheapest place I could find it. Most stores carry it for around $250 but Amazon has it for $179.

For the price, it's an exceptional camera. 4MP, 4x optical zoom, manual controls, bright LCD screen, fast, quiet, customizable, easy. It's an all around great camera. Although I'm no expert on photography or cameras, I do enough work with images and multimedia to know that this camera isn't a slouch, especially considering the price

So if you're looking for a great all around camera that's slightly above entry level, but you're not looking to break the bank, check out the Canon.

If you're still unsure, check out DP Review (http://www.dpreview.com/) for reviews, ratings, and user opinions of cameras. Great site and very informative.

I have a coolpix 4500, and would highly recommend it. Not the newest cam but a good one
