I can do this in my sleep on my PC, but have no idea how to do this on a Mac. I am trying to burn a FreeBSD ISO image, and all I get is a file on the disc and not the true image.

I'm not sure, but can you use Disk Utility to do it?

not that I can see.
Open Disk Utility.
From the Images menu, choose Burn...
Choose the ISO file.
or...
Drag the ISO file to the sidebar in Disk Utility.
Select it and click the Burn button in the toolbar.
Either should work.

Ok, I do see that on the Panther machine I am using, but this machine has no burner. The machine with the burner has 10.2.8 and I don't see those options.
Under older versions of Disk Utility, I believe it's under the File menu as "Burn Image".

Well, that won't work, unless pagesetup or print will do it. lol Thanks for the help guys, I'll just use the PC at home.

Toast makes easy work of ISO images.
Download Toast & use that.
Guys, leave old dead threads alone... this thread was done months ago and now gets a hearty LOCK so dolts won't keep bumping it.
