looks good! especially the shouting bit!
What happens if you boot off of a CD and wipe the drive?

That's probably why they suggest the OpenFirmware password. It makes booting off external media impossible.
All a thief has to do is install little snitch to foil the whole thing...
Or boot up and delete/wipe everything while they aren't connected to the internet.
Just thought I'd revive this thread briefly to point people's attention to this tool (and since there was just a thread on somebody having his laptop stolen).
Are there ways to deactivate Undercover? Sure, but the thing is that many thieves are not sysadmins, they won't know those. They might not even know that tools like this exist. There is no absolute guarantee to get your computer back, that's simply not possible. But this is as close as it gets, and it's really not such a big expense that I would worry about it. If I can afford a Mac and perhaps AppleCare, I can afford Undercover.
There is also a difference between insurance and software like this from a moral point of view: insurance may cover your costs, but it won't help catch the thief. Undercover actually helps catch the thief, which, while not exactly the End of All Theft, will at least stop one person from doing this again.
Some proof (http://www.macrumors.com/2008/05/09/back-to-my-mac-used-to-catch-laptop-thieves/), arguably, that a tool that Undercover could be of use.
