Just bought a MacBook Pro

Well, after selling my 6 month old Powerbook, I just bought a new MacBook Pro. I was just wondering what your experiences have been with ship dates. I ordered it Sunday night, and I still haven't received a shipment notification. Think I will get it by the end of the week?

The Apple Store says that it usually ships within 24 hours, although I know some would have a good laugh about that considering some of the actual shipping times. Also, if you got any BTO options, it may take significantly longer for you to get that MBP in your hands.

I bought my 12"PB 6 months ago and have been debating about selling it for a MBP. I might wait for the Merom chip.

Well, the only BTO options I got were the 2 512MB DIMMS (brings price down a little), and the 7200RPM HD (evens price out). It's basically the same thing I did last time (October 05) for the PowerBook. I ordered the PB on a Monday and received it on a Thursday.

Right now it says my MBP won't ship 'til Thurs and arrive til next Thurs. Somehow I'm hoping it's sooner.

I sold my PB for $1750 on Ebay. Of course it had Applecare (3 years) and 1.5GB of RAM, and it was the newest model.

I'd love to buy you all MBP's, but my wife nearly killed me for this one ;)
