This isn't really purchasing advice, but SEE is a great program and you can get it free if you go to maczot.com and do their little email harvesting bit. They're giving away 3000 2999 copies of SEE free (I got one already. :p ) Just an FYI. :)

I'm fairly sure it is...they were listing the regular price as $35 earlier in the day.
OT: Finally, after 14 months, I've made it to 400 posts. Only 600 more to go... :)

I had jumped on with MacZOT back when they did the second MyzteryZOT. It was kinda meh, but hey...it WAS a mystery bundle, and I did pay less than I normally would have to register everything individually, so it was (kinda) worth it.
Yeah, SEE is a good little app. I used it for the last, oh, three years for my dissertation work.
Used. Past tense.
As of today, I'm a TextMate man. This thing fucking rocks.

Funny, I tried to e-mail them and our mail server rejected their address.
Not Free? When did that happen? I though if you were a student you could get a free version.

Kick.. Do you think that TextMate is worth changin to from SEE?
I currently use SEE for everything from ftp editting of perl, php, css, html etc. etc. as well as the same on my machine.
I also use it as a editor running alongside XCode for data files and the like.
What I mean is that I have no complaints with SEE. Is there something so earth shatteringly amazing that makes it worth the move?

Yeah, ditto. There's few things I miss from SEE. Split view and collaboration, mostly.
But TextMate's so extremely convenient for writing code compared to SEE :)

But personally, I think TextMate is a better Programming environment. However, for going over code with somebody else, nothing beats SubEthaEdit.
EDIT: Imagine if they teamed up O_O... That'd be one heck of an app.

Not here. I applied and got my "confirmation" and then registered on the website exactly as specified long before the time was up. No code.
I feel cheated. Thank goodness I used one of my junk accounts.

I haven't either, but it did say about 24 hours. It's only been 25 for me. I'll give 'em til tomorrow. If I don't get it, then I'll just bounce all their emails back to them and not even go back to their site. But I'll give them some more time.
Well. It's just over 24 hours now so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
I have emailed their support section and enquired.. So will update back here if / when I hear something.
Yeah.. And I used one of my gmail accounts too.. But I still begrude the time filling in their forms!
EDIT - And they have really lucked out with the web site to get exposed on, if it is a bit of a con! :lol:
Well, if they don't pony up, we can all report them to spamcop, et al. so they get blocked by various mail providers. :p

I got mine this morning. I had already downloaded it, but haven't gotten around to registering (was running a bit behind this morning as it was).

An email to Code Monkeys would be better than what you are alluding to...
In the end there has to be some deal between MacZot and Code Monkeys which benefits both parties. If you get your serial by nefarious means you will be taking money from the authors, which is not cool...
