hello peeps,

i have a MBP 1.83 Ghz with 512 MB RAM. so i want to add more memory so that i can work properly. In search for a suitable memory i found this RAM (http://www.gskill.com/Flash/en/f2-5300phu1sa.html) and wondering if it is a good. It cost about 90 Eur (112 USD). I am considering the 1 GB one.

thanks

It should be fine. Macs can sometimes be picky about the RAM they take, but it should almost always work without problems. I know tons of people using all kinds of different third-party RAM brands in their Macs and I rarely hear about problems.

Ok. so does anyone know whether Corsair is a good brand of ram? Because I can get 1GB for about the same price as a G.skill one. (no life time warranty though)

Corsair is great. In fact, it's almost all I use (I also use Kingston occasionally). I'm getting a MacBook Pro soon, and I'm buying 1GB from Corsair as quickly as possible afterward.
