New 15" MBPs vs 17" MBP

now that the MBP have had their speed updated thanks to the release of the MacBook, does the highend option look more compelling? Before the price ajustment, you´d be better off going either with the lowend, or with the 17" MBP. How about now? Does the high end 15" make more sense now?

for 500 bucks more?

before, the highend 15" would end up costing 100 bucks more than the 17" model...

I guess it makes a little more sense in that the $2499 MBP is no longer a really bad deal compared to the 17" one, but I still think the upgrades aren't really worth quite $500.

Don't forget you also gain over 36% more screen space. I prefer the 17" (which is what was delivered to me last week). It was an easy choice for me then -- though I would have thought more about it were I buying now. Still, I'm happy with the 17" model.
