Okay, I'm here now. heh. :D .....because I have learned (the hard way :( ) to read "Today's Posts." :p :p

(...we *REALLY, REALLY* need the laughing smiley - though it's true that I haven't been laughing much in the last day or two. :( :p haha ;) )

I think I'll pass, on commenting about sex.....(especially if Luca is lurking).

I still haven't quite recovered from being called a 'strumpet'. ;)

Note: PMS on the wane. heh.

Do you have to keep bringing that up? Yeesh. I wasn't even saying that you were ACTUALLY a strumpet. I said you were a Strumpet. There's a difference.

Yes, this is an inside joke. You really just had to be there.

Dang! :D

In all seriousness re sex - which is not what the comments in this thread have been about, but I will post on it anyway:

My wife recently recounted to me that after her first experience - a bit later than some (but still long before we met) - she was quite angry. The reason, though, surprised me. I know the very first experience is not great for a lot of women - and a fair number of men as well. Well hers was not great, but it was not lousy either. And what she was angry about was that none of her female friends had really told her that sex was, in fact, fun. Despite all the sexual openness these days, I think that we forget sometimes to emphasize this basic aspect

Like the cuisine at a fine restaurant... sometimes it's truly amazing. Other times, just good. I think sex can only be "bad" if the person you're with is not compatible with you on some level... or if they have something catchy.

Don't forget Moogs, sex can also be bad if the girl is unexperienced. I can't stand people who just "take it". . . ;)

Believe it or not, Crusader, the comment was made in the middle of a very long ice cream thread.

I used to flirt a lot. I don't anymore. :o :p ;) *sigh*

Btw, read everything you can find on the internet about being a good lover. Then try those things the first time you have sex. If you put some time and effort into learning to be a good lover, you will eventually be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. My opinion, anyway. :D

I suppose this is true. Speaking for myself, other than one of the women I dated in college, the only time I was with an inexperienced woman was when I was fairly inexperienced myself. No big deal in that case; you sort of just experience your way through things and find the positions you both like and whatever.

Fortunately, as an adult, the women I've been with had already developed their own "lovin' style" when I met them. It's always nice when both parties can show the other a few new tricks.

Don't you think that shy girl from the other thread is probably fairly inexperienced?

Of course, you could *teach* her. ;) :D

The nuances take time. There is something to this long-term monogamy thing.

Well I have a feeling that things are not going to work out with the shy girl.

But in any case I find when I have to "*teach*" someone, it's not fun for me but I always give it my best effort. But I stress the not fun part.

Egotism is ingrained in one's psyche. It cannot be unlearned. Egotists in life are Egotists in bed. Nothing they can do to change that. And when egotists are otiose to boot, well...then the woman really has a problem.

They cannot. An occasional "born-again" or an "epiphany-lke", or an "I and Though-like” experience might prove to be enough to sufficiently modify behavior, but then these people become nuts. They run around proselytizing and cannot see anything else but their "cause". Or else, they become hermetic introverts and engage in navel-gazing 24-7.

Hi guys! Nice forum.

They run around proselytizing and cannot see anything else but their "cause". Or else, they become hermetic introverts and engage in navel-gazing 24-7.

Well, speaking from experience, my brother went through this -- he was an evil egotistical f**k until he found God and got married. Since then, strangely, he seems to have put all of his effort into being an excessively nice person, except with respect to Linux advocacy.

As for sleeping with inexperienced people, I feel extremely glad that I've never slept with anyone less experienced than me. See, there is something to be said for chasing older women! ;)

You speak the truth, especially if a you catch a good one now and then instead of just chasing them.

(I've only ever bothered chasing anyone once, and that was a disaster Ñ the rest chased me)
