Hey folks,
Just to let y'all know, I bought a Logitech Extreme 3D joystick despite it only mentioning MacOS 9 compatibility, and then not even having drivers or instructions for it in the box.
I desperatly wanted a joystick to improve my strafing runs and dogfighting in BattleField 1942 and eventually Hornet 4.0 (once, if ever it actually ships)
Anyway, I plugged it in and System profiler recognized it. Good.
I load up BF and go to configurations... go to the AIR tab and.... *click* YEAH! its recognized. Every damn button... and there are LOTS of them.
I load up a game and its just awesome. Flying is just amazing with a joystick. Outmanouvering, precise stafing and bombing runs, etc... great stuff.
Just to recap, NO drivers are needed. It just works.
Thanks Apple, you seem to have done something right!
Now get your stupid networking sharing functionalities right!
