I am not quite sure how to describe what I want to do here...
I think it might be as simple as 're-skinning' Apache's default file disply when you hit a web directory without any index file.. But I am not sure how easy that is....
What I have is a large number of pdf files which I want to have online for people to download.. However, these are updated weekly (and new ones are added periodically), and whilst the file is the same physical file, each time it is updated it's filename changes because it includes the date of creation / editting.
So doing this manually, and having an html front end is a pretty time consuming task. Basically you have to re-link each file in each time it is updated online.
I want to keep these files sorted in folders and so on, online for my visitors to access from a reasonably friendly menu system..
Does anyone know of a free script for this kind of thing, or have any ideas on re-skinning Apache's file list feature?
