I was wondering what you guys think I can get for a 700Mhz PowerMac G3 B&W upgraded with an XLR8 G4 CPU upgrade (600mhz, overclocked to 700mhz running 100% stable). It has 1Mb of cache so it can supposedly outperform 1Ghz G4 CPU's. It is a revision 2 so it supports more than 1 hard drive.

http://daystar-store.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=92

It also has 448Mb of RAM, 2 USB ports, 2 FireWire 400 ports, Audio in/out ports, Ethernet port, DVD/CDRW drive from an emac, ATI Rage 128 16mb, 6gb hard drive, white apple keyboard, and a Mighty Mouse.

It also has an extra PCI Ethernet card installed, and a PCI USB/FireWire card installed.

I'd have 10.4 freshly installed, but only include 10.2 (Boxed with manuals)

I'm wanting to get into Video editing and I'm trying to buy a new Intel iMac (mainly to dual boot).

I'm also wondering what I can get for the Mac OS 10 Public Beta CD/Folder/Manuals. (There is no dot on the folder or CD, just appeared because of the flash)

I would say about 400 to 500 dollars. (from poking around ebay) Did you paint it though or is that just a version I have never seen before?

Yeah, it was painted. I was thinking of buying a G4 case for $50 on ebay and sticking it in there.

It was painted years ago (before the G4 upgrade) It actually looks better than the original colors...

That paint job was done very well. It is just the color that bothers me. I am impressed with how good the paint looks though. Good one WR!

Yeah, it would probably sell better in a G4 case. The original G4's used the same Motherboard layout as the B&W G3's so I could transfer it.

I decided to upgrade my G4 now. I purchased an ATI 7000 64Mb card, more ram and a hard drive. I also purchased a Quicksilver case. I know I'll have to do some modding to get it to work, But it will look pretty. :)

Nice paint job. I'd keep it if I were you, if only just to tinker with or as a machine to run old Classic software and games. Why don't you try putting a faster IDE PCI card or something in it? That way you could also use it as a file or music server.

I'm working on a little "project". :) Should be completed next week. :D

I'm very curious to what it finally turns out to be :-) Oh it's like watching grass grow. And I'm not talking bamboo!
