All this thread wants to know is if anybody has used any of their stuff with a MacBook or MacBook Pro and if it is just as impressive as it was on the G4/G5 systems.

Even more so. Brilliant software.

What exactly can you do with it? I only have a general idea.

I use it with my Miglia TVMini to receive DVB-T over-the-air here in the UK.

It allows you to watch tv, record tv, pause/rewind live TV.

It also has a magic automatic iPod out feature that can automatically export every recording to iTunes for your iPod. The latest version of the software also allows you to control it entirely with the Apple Remote via a nice Front Row-style menu.

There are a variety of eyetv and non-eyetv branded hardware products which you can use with the software. Check the Apple Store online for one which is compatible with TV signals in your area.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make it do a season pass type feature where it finds all showings of the show and records them? Thanks!

No Season Pass functionality - yet.
From the TitanTV forums (full thread found here (http://community.titantv.com/forums/post/113.aspx)):
First of all, let me make it clear that we would very much like to add season pass functionality to TitanTV. We understand that this is very important and it’s something that most (if not all) people want. We have (and have had) a plan it place to make this happen, but unfortunately, this is not something that we at Decisionmark (TitanTV) can make happen without the help of the folks out there that write the PVR software that works with your PVR hardware.

You can schedule remotely and you can setup EyeTV to record and entire weeks worth of shows.
Let's say that you just can't get enough of that wacky Chandler and his hysterical antics, here's what you could do:

I have two EyeTV's - a 200 (now replaced by the 250) to use with my satellite and a EyeTV 500 to pick up over the air HD programming.
Both work beautifully with my G5/Cinema Display combo or my MacBook Pro.

Thanks so much for the replies guys, I think I may have to hop onto eBay and get one once I get another MacBook. I have been buying and reselling them all summer and am waiting for the Merom ones to come out before I get one for me again.

Side note: buying MacBooks on eBay and upgrading them to 100 or 120GB drives and 2GB of RAM has been making me about $200 per MacBook for those of you who have the skill and can afford to do it.

I am having some problems with my eyetv 250. I can't get the electronic program guide to work. I even created a new account with TV Titan and used that one. Any ideas on why it isn't working? I am just using basic cable but that shouldn't matter...right? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Elgato reciently released the Hybrid TV (http://www.elgato.com/index.php?file=products_eyetvhybridna&PHPSESSID=07498b9423b79d1eb12bc277ef19a874) USB 2.0 tunner. It's bassically what I've been waiting for, analog and digital/HDTV all in one nice little package for $150. When I purchase a new iMac (soon I hope!) this will be the very next thing. Might be worth looking at since you're waiting to purchase as well.

I wonder if that would work just as well if you plugged it into a USB Hub instead of directly into the computer.

It requires a DVB-T input signal, as far as I am aware this is not available in any US state.

It uses the North American ATSC as well, plus regual Analog cable.

EyeTV Hybrid is an analog television receiver that also can receive digital TV over antenna/aerial. Digital TV over antenna/aerial is called ATSC in North America, and DVB-T in Europe/Australia.
