hello,
I just clicked on an add at the apple insider website, which directed me to the wholesale-4all.com site.
now I know that "too good to be true" usually really is "too good to be true", but their prices intrigue me. according to their faq, all the product are new, boxed and carry warrenty, but still they manage to sell a macBook for $775, an 60G iPod for $249, or a macBook pro for $1049, $1274, $1899...
when googling I couldn't find anything negative, but also nothing positive about these guys, so I still don't trust it... but those prices!
so... does anybody here have experience with these guys?, or do you know somebody who has?
any info on scam or not, delivery times, warrenty, etc. please post here.

to any mods: sorry if I posted in the wrong section, I didn't know where else to put it.

thanks.

No, the point is that it was created less than two weeks ago.

I am 100% sure that this is a scam. It is run by the same fraudsters behind elecronixindex.com which did the rounds a couple of years ago.

See http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff86775.htm
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff83157.htm

If you check the FAQ, they only accept payment via Western Union wire transfer. Credit cards are not accepted - always a sure sign...

60G iPod for $249

For another $50, you can get a refurb straight from the Mother Ship (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wo/0.RSLID?mco=32DAAC51&nclm=Certified). Still the best legit deal anywhere.

And they won't steal your money.

Any reason why this is in speculation and rumors?

awesome... this is turning into one of those lengthy scam investigations... all we need now is someone to go take pics of the perpetrator and figure out what he eats for dinner. then leave a tray of his favorite foods on his doorstep and watch him freak out.

According to the info from their web site, they say their US shipping is out of this address:

"Our warehouse from where US orders are shipped is located in 937 W Broad St Richmond, VA 23220."

Using Google Maps and MS Virtual Earth, we come up with this building:

http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.q7rkzs8jc6zm_937%2520W%2520Broad%2520St%252c %2520Richmond%252c%2520VA%252023220-3808%252c%2520United%2520States___

It looks like an apartment building or college dorm, no? Medical building, university lab... certainly not a warehouse. (It's the building with the parking lot filled with cars).

NB: Apparently local.live.com doesn't work on Safari, but Firefox will display it.

hello,

That's your first problem.

which directed me to the wholesale-4all.com site.

Too good to be true. It's not real.

so... does anybody here have experience with these guys?, or do you know somebody who has?
any info on scam or not, delivery times, warrenty, etc. please post here.

No one's had any experience with these guys because "businesses" like this pop up all the time. They show up, attract a bunch of unwary buyers with super-low prices, and then close up shop mere weeks later.

to any mods: sorry if I posted in the wrong section, I didn't know where else to put it.

thanks.
It seems you didn't even make a half-assed attempt at finding the proper place to put this thread. What possessed you to post it in "Speculation and Rumors" when there's a "Purchasing Advice" forum just a little ways down? Seriously man, try reading the forum descriptions before you post a new thread.

Your falling for a scam!!! A friend of mine ordered a laptop from a site which shared lots in common with that one. He sent the money via wire transfer (the only payment method accepted) and that was it.. I investigated and discovered that the money was collected somewhere in London.

They claim that they can source nearly any electronic item. Send them a mail asking for a product which you know is hard to get/ discontinued and they will probably have it or can get it...

No, I'm pretty sure its not a scam. Have you never heard of good deals? I have just bought 2 iPods, one for me and one for my mom. I am just about to place an order for a Nokia 8800!

Deals of the century!!

Would have been easier to pay with PayPal but whatever!
