So Apple kinda messed me up with their telling me to get applecare and then not fixing the iPod, so they gave me a $60 Coupon for purchases over $200. I have a friend that wants an isight, so she's gonna give me the money and I'm gonna order it, along with a pair of headphones for me. Which Headphones would be the best for their money from the apple store? I am looking for something between $60 and $100 from the store. Here (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wo/18.RSLID?ps=1&pn=6&mco=65B51150&nclm=iPodHeadphones) is where they are.

I was thinking the Sennheiser PX 100s look good. What do you guys thing?

there was a headphones recommendation thread this past week, check that

honestly... i would save the coupon for something that is made by apple.... practically everything else from the apple store can be had for much much cheaper elsewhere

headphones especially.....

it will be cheaper to order the headphones from somewhere else than the $60 would save you....

apple sells close to the MSRP if not at the MSRP for most items..... i can think of two items where this is almost $150 more than the cost of that item elsewhere.....

apple store coupons are best spent on apple products which are somewhat price fixed....

anyways back to the point of the thread. if you are going to get sennheisers you really are going to want to by an amp too since sennheisers are very high impedance cans (320 ohms)

you want earphones or headphones? where will you use the headphones mainly?

BTW you can get those headphones from Amazon for $37 as opposed to $60 from apple.

I think that's an awful apology from Apple for their screw up.

"Here's $60 off the next time you spend $200 more on our products, since we messed up, sorry"

yeah i was pissed, they also refunded applecare though, so i'm not all that mad. whatever though, someone bought the iPod for $100 anyways. now i'm at $157 cash with a $60 coupon, so if i wanted i'd be able to upgrade to a 60 gb video no problem. pointless though becuase i have the new 80 gb.

i just need something to buy before this expires. haha.

I really like my PX100's. I just got the AKG K81DJ which is also pretty awsome but it has some issues.

I love my PX100s, they're very nice portable headphones (use them with my powerbook and ipod). In general I'm a big fan of Sennheiser though (my desktop's headphones are HD 212Pro's), so take my opinion with that bias in mind. Also, almost every Sennheiser I've used is a tad heavy on the bass (though not as much as some sony's), so bear that in mind...

This is def. out of his price range, but its a combo. If you decide to go for it, don't skimp on the amp, its def. a 'phone that needs one.

Despite that, I think you'd do well to do some research on Head-Fi, they have a very expansive collection of knowledge and by search you'd find various threads asking the same question as you.
