Homepage very slow

If I try to go to www.applenova.com it is very very slow. Takes up to 20 seconds before even opening. If I go directly to the forums then everything is fine. Just started happening within the last week or so it seems. I am on cable modem Road Runner with no other problems.

Yup. Another Southerner is also seeing very long download times on the order of 7-15 seconds.

I'm on the State of Arkansas (Government) network. Basically (for my location) a T1.

It could be one of a few problems...

One image on the site is retrieved from another server. Delays in retrieving that image could cause load delays.

There could be a router down.

You guys could just be imagining it :)

The front page loads a bit slowly on Earthlink/Verizon DSL in DC as well. But it's not like I ever read it. ;)

Yeah I've been noticing that DNS lookup on the main page has been slow too. Which is odd since I'd think that it'd be in my DNS cache.

Took a second to connect, but I am on an Airport network. Other than that, just fine.

Bay Area, Sonic.net DSL, if it matters.
