So this is my girlfriend's MacBook RAM situation.

She's in another city right now, and she doesn't feel comfortable opening the bottom up to check, but do MacBooks come with 256 mb of built-in RAM? She wants 1 gig, and I was thinking of getting it from here:

Anyone had experience with this site?

No, the MacBook has two slots.

I buy all my RAM from http://newegg.com You can get Kingston RAM fairly cheap.

Also, MacBooks supposedly will perform a little better with paired RAM.

You don't actually buy anything from DealRam... they just find the cheapest prices for you. That said, I can say some things about the vendors on the list. Crucial is a very good name, but they charge for it. I've used OWC's generic RAM before (in an old G4 iMac) -- and it's still chugging away. Actually, now that I think about it, I think they sent me a dud first. But it was really painless to return (Or so I presume since I barely remember the ordeal... it was five years ago.) 18004Memory is a big player, but I can't remember whether I've heard good or bad about them.

On another note, you may want to smear out your girlfriend's name (or maybe just aggressively crop it). :)
