what would you do?
g4 aluminum 12", 867mhz, 640mb ram, superdrive, 40gb hdd, airport - $500
or
g4 titanium 15", 1ghz, 1gb ram, superdrive, 60gb hdd, airport - $400
p.s. im mainly interested in using it for recording audio (garageband/logic) and a little web design (iweb)

The TiBook is a more powerful/faster machine, and the bigger screen will help with web design.
Unless you really want it to be smaller, the TiBook is definitly the safer bet.

Since you were considering spending $500 on the 12" I would recommend saving up an additional $150-$200 to buy a first generation MacBook. It'll be far superior and a lot more bang for the buck.

thanks for the tip. actually i had a macbook and i sold it. dont get me wrong, its a kick ass computer, but i didnt really do much with it. I ended up buying the 15" tibook so now ive got a laptop that does everything i need it to and extra $$$ :)

Congrats. I have always thought the TiBook was Apple's most desired product upon release.
