I was offered a new MacBookPro to replace a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0 at work.
My uses are primarily 2-D apps like Illustrator 60% of the time, Quark 30% and Photoshop 10%.

Also how do you think Rosetta will perform in comparison to the PowerMac? If the performance hit is minimal, I'm thinking I should bite, given Universal apps are just around the corner.

Rosetta runs around the speed 1GHZ G4. But, The universal versions of those apps will scream on a MacBook.

It'll be painful for a few months, but when those apps go universal, they will fucking fly.

Personally.... I'd do it.
