I suppose I'll have to stump up for an iPod mini for my son for Christmas this year. (He's the only Mac user among his friends and most of them are getting one. ). However, can anyone in the UK tell me what the current wait time is? I see them appearing in catalogues ( such as Boots!) but don't know anyone personally who has bought one.
I'll buy mine through the Apple Store if possible which will mean I get the Educ discount but I want to leave it a while as long as I don't get caught in a supply/ demand situation around Christmas.
If what my son tells me about his friends is correct Apple sales ( of iPods at least) over Christmas in the UK will go through the roof.
