View Full Version : Is there any point in trying to sell my MacBook RAM?

This isn't really purchasing advise, but I don't want to post it to the Bazaar since I don't want to sell it there.

I bought a gig of RAM for my MacBook today, so I have 256MB spare. My first thought was to put it on eBay, but I'm not so sure. I would imagine that a single 256MB SODIMM is what every compatible notebook shipped with as a bare minimum, so there really wouldn't be much of a market for it. I've done a search on eBay and found two similar auctions which have received no bids, but with 4 days remaining. Do you think it would sell? How much do you reckon I'd get?

It doesn't seem like you'll make much money form it to be worth you time to invest in it. Plus, if there is an issue with your RAM in the future, you would at least have something to fall back on in a pinch.

I just looked at completed auctions for 256 of eBay RAM and most didn't sell. I recently sold 2x512 MacBook RAM on eBay and only got $50 for it. I'll echo turtle and just say hold on to it.
