iAudio player with 50hrs off single AA battery

hrm...white plastic enclosure...how innovative.

anyway iAudio's G3 (http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/337/C3321/) (clever, innovative name too!) boasts 50hrs off of a single AA! while that will certainly come down a bit outside the lab, i'd think anything over 30 hrs has gotta rank as impressive.

2gb flash memory is getting closer to iPod mini storage--tho i didnt see any pricing announced. anyone seen pricing info anywhere?

[edit] doh! wth was i looking at...pricing's right on the page. a little spendy for 2gb IMO...i spent half that on my 10GB iPod 3 yrs ago.

i *like* the white buds. i use 'em for the gym 'cause i dont mind sweating all over them and crumpling them up in my shorts when i run in/out the door.

if i had a $50 or $100 pair of buds i'd feel like i had to baby 'em. i guess when the white buds do die, i'll have to get a $4 pair of wal-mart cheapies to abuse. so far tho it looks like the buds are gonna outlive the ipod.

I like that it can play 8kbps mp3s. Perhaps that is how it got 50 hour play back though? Probably the backlight turned off too, which is usual though.
