Hey guys, I am not selling this here 'cause I don't have the rep evidentally to get into the Bazaar.

I am curious as to what price you would set (USD) for a craigslist auction and be willing to part with it for.

It's a MacBook 1.83 Core Duo upgraded to a 1.25gb ram, no super drive, and 60gb hdd. It was purchased last June.

eBay has serious fluctuations from 500 to 900. I figure maybe take the middle of that and settle on 700?

What a timely thread. I'm thinking about selling mine in a few months. I'll be watching. :)

I have an offer for 750 cash on Craigs List. I think I should hold out for more. They retail for 1100 plus an extra 60 bucks for tax. I put a 60 dollar stick of ram in it. I feel bad letting a 1220 machine go for 750. That is almost a 500 dollar loss.

No AppleCare on it.

I am thinking of asking 900 now that I think about it.

Could be worse. I lost a touch over $600 when I sold my MacBook Pro last summer. (I paid a bit over $2,000 for it and sold it for $1,400.) Damn, I miss that machine.

If you think of it as a percentage, you lost less on the MacBook Pro than the 750 USD offer.

I see a base Macbook Core Duo (combo drive) on eBay for $885 right now, and a completed auction for $830.

With the RAM upgrade, $900 seems reasonable.

Thanks MCQ! With eBay fees and shipping that'd come out to about 820 or so so I will try and get that off Craigs List.
