I'm looking to buy a 2 GB stick for my new MacBook Pro. I favor NewEgg for all things electronic these days, so...

How does this look? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220229)

Can you forsee any problems with that RAM in my MacBook Pro? It has very solid reviews, a good brand name, and the price is right.

Thanks! :)

(I posted this in the sticky at the top of this forum, but got no replies, so I am reposting here. Sorry if this is against any rules.)

1. A few people have mentioned Patriot brand before - from a search for Patriot RAM:

2. I personally would be more comfortable with OWC RAM, and they are actually cheaper:

Does anyone know what the OWC rebate would be for a 1 GB stick of new MBP RAM?

I like OWC, they come highly recommended from me.

I got a stick of RAM from OWC about four years ago; it was bad. But they replaced it easily and quickly. It's worked ever since. IMO, it doesn't so much matter the brand as it does the return policy -- any chip can potentially be bad. :\

I got the Patriot stick. Installed nice and easy, slid right in.

No kernel panics! Always a good sign. And boy does this baby fly on 3 GB RAM.
