Q3:2007 - Hard-drive Consumer Camcorders

I am *astonished* at the number of hard drive enabled camcorders already on the market (didn't the JVC Everio debut just last year?), and, even though we're still in the early/mid stages of the industry transition from DV tape to hard drive, there seem to be a lot of features available at darned good prices.

Some of those features include high definition and 3-chips.

Anybody else been studying this stuff?
Any "must buys" out there yet?
