So, I am unfamiliar with Apache 2. (:( :o I know shame on me.) It is, of course, the default with Leopard. I am assuming that I need to edit something in /etc/apache2 or add a .conf file to my sites folder.... or both.... but thats about as far as I got.

I tried following along this tutorial (http://www.aldenta.com/2007/10/28/getting-apache-php-to-work-with-leopard-os-x-105/) but I still get that 403 at http://localhost/~scott. Where do I need to add the right permissions to fix this?

Thanks :)

I am having the same trouble. And I would have put this inside the "Genius Bar" forum.

What exactly prompted your 403 errors? Under what circumstances and what URLs do you see it?

Also, does a file exist in this location? If so, what's in it?
/private/etc/apache2/users/yourusername.conf

Did you restart Apache after editing the config files?
sudo httpd -k restart
