Buying enclosures for drives I build is the closest I've come to understanding the thrill that PC users have when building their own machines. So far, I've kept my enclosure purchases to NewEgg.com but I'm beginning to consider shopping elsewhere, if only I could find some really sexy enclosures.

Right now I'm shopping for an SATA enclosure for my new ASUS DRW-2014L1T LightScribe-enabled DVD burner and much of what I've found on NewEgg seems wrong or blah.

Any suggestions on your fave enclosures or places to shop?

My favorite single drive enclosures are Macally, and I pretty much pick them up wherever they're cheapest (usually newegg or buy.com).

I see from the other thread you've already found OWC. I like their double-drive enclosures a bunch, and if I didn't start with Macally's I'd probably have gone with their singles as well.

I think you're going to have a hell of a time finding a cool looking single 5.25 SATA enclosure, honestly. I'd probably start at a place like cooldrives (http://www.cooldrives.com/index.html). You might have to consider going to a dual-drive enclosure that you could put your ASUS DVD drive in and have room for an extra hard drive if needed. Something like this (http://www.cooldrives.com/sadual5inbay.html).
