Simple question. I don't like having both a 22 inch display and a Macbook open next to each other. I am fairly sure it has stop me copulating at least 3 times, so I want to hide it so that people don't think I'm a nerd.

So basically what I am after is some sort of Pre-worked multilevel facilitating Notebook storage division. Ya know, like this.
(http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/detail.asp?Redir=1&description=HP%2DSmart+Buy+Standard+monitor+stand% 2DMonitor+%26+Projector+Accessories&dpno=7002742)

But not so ugly. And something that won't make my monitor too much higher than it is, but that has room for my macbook to sit closed and snug underneath.

Thanks! :)

This (http://www.macessity.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=29800) would seem to be perfect, except it's just a little bit too short. It's one inch high, meaning that the space underneath is 0.9something inches high. A MacBook Air would fit, but not a MacBook or MacBook Pro. One wonders why they didn't just make the thing an extra 0.2 inches high, and advertise it for use with notebooks?

That can be fixed though with a couple strips of wood or something.

Get two and weld them together into a rectangle thingy.

You don't have welding equipment at home?
No?
Then where will you keep the A-Team after you capture them?

You have to think about these things. Jeez.

Course I have a welding machine at home, I have three actually- 2 MIGs and a TIG. And everything else you can imagine. No idea how to use them, thats the problem. Maybe I'll make something out of wood. Something in the same vain as AtomicBartBeans' DIY iPod dock. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/atomicbartbeans/sets/72157603537358272/)

What about a vertical stand? It doesn't really hide it, but it would be pretty easy to swap out when you need to: http://www.powersupportusa.com/products/macbook_dockingstand.php

[edit] Just occurred to me: you could use this and put the MacBook behind the monitor.

Wo wo wo wo, hold the flange...you can put the MacBook UPRIGHT?

Maybe I'll just throw it down beside my desk.

Yep. Or upside down, if that turns you on.

Just make sure the fan vents have room to breathe.

Now, good luck getting laid. No more excuses.

But seriously, he lied to me.
