I love my corded logitech mouse, but I need to free up a USB port (my MBP only has a measly two!)

I find it intriguing that Logitech sells a total of one bluetooth mouse currently. Was this technology completely abandoned for mice or something? I know it's not the best, but it's built in to my MBP and it would accomplish the goal of freeing up a USB port and reducing some clutter.

Anyone using a bluetooth mouse that they like?

I have the BT Mighty Mouse.

Works fine for me.

The scroll ball clogs every once in a while, but a little rub down with rubbing alcohol usually solves the problem.

I've tried the mighty mouse before, I can't stand it!

I'm thinking about this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8718462&productCategoryId=pcmcat154400050011&type=product&id=1200702543999

I just don't want to give up all my buttons...I have had them mapped to functions I use multiple times per day for the past two years. That's going to be an annoying habit to break!

I really wish there was some sort of "wireless input device" standard. Bluetooth for mice and keyboards. Or hell, just fix Bluetooth. Granted, I'm talking out of my ass as I know next to nothing about this stuff, but I'd love to have some sort of standard so notebook makers could start building it in like they do Bluetooth.

*sigh*

I tried finding a bluetooth mouse for my MBP and didn't like any of the offerings from any manufacturer.

I ended up with the "Logitech® VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks". Great device with a long battery life.

The best part of it is the receiver:

"...that doesn't really help us, Michael."

Anyway, MB, I would throw my support behind Microsoft on this one. I've only got good things to say about the reliability of their peripherals, and I've never heard reports of pairing problems with Macs either. Maybe they have a model with more buttons?

Here's (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=103&active_tab=systemRequirements) the one you were talking about "for Mac." Although I don't know what that really means...

haha :)

I picked up this mouse today and it's pretty nice. Tiny, comfortable, and most importantly no wires. I've switched some of the button functions to F keys and it's working well so far. Thanks for the recommendation.
