I have a G4 quicksilver with a Giga Design 1.47ghz upgrade and have never had any problems with it. But I've not had any luck installing Unreal Tournament 2004 and get this error:

I've been in touch with MacSoft support and they don't seem to think it's a bad disc. When I told them the specs on my computer they said in an email...

"This is one of the reasons that we (and Apple for that matter) do not
support processor-upgrades. Too many unpredictable variables. I'll get you a disk though. Hope it helps."

Could the processor upgrade be the problem. I'm not sure that's it. Like I said... I've had zero problems since I upgraded about a year and a half ago.

She's covering her ass--it's very doubtful that your processor is causing problems installing textures.
