html email question...

I design and code an HTML email newsletter for my department and send it out. Well one of the images linked was to an old issue not the current one. I changed it online but when I click onto the link in the email version it still goes to the old link. Is there no changing a link in the email that has already been sent out? :confused:

If you don't need the old version keeping, then I would just setup a redirect from the old link to the new one.
